Blotter siren — The year 2010 began violently with the city’s first homicide on Friday. A 25-year-old Hispanic man from Boston died from an apparent gunshot wound. The Boston Police Homicide Unit did not release any details or make any arrests. [ Globe ] — Boston Police responded to Wendover Street in Roxbury after a reported stabbing. An unconscious male victim was transported to Boston Medical Center. Witnesses alleged the victim was stabbed by his sister. The suspect told police she was holding a knife and her brother ran towards her and into the knife. She was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. 21-year old Medway man after an altercation between four men in the Allston-Brighton area. The suspect threw hot coffee in the face of two of the men. He then used brass knuckles to try to strike the three men. The suspect was charged with assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon. [ BPDNews.com ] — Albert Gonzalez, 28, of Miami pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Boston to conspiracy for hacking into the payment systems for retailers TJX Cos., Hannaford Brothers Co.
