Boston Blotter: Man Shot to Death in JP; Body Found in Chelsea

— Police found a man shot to death early this morning behind the Bromley Heath housing projects near the Jackson Square T station in Jamaica Plain. The man, who was in his 20s, has not been identified. [ Globe ] — Police found a dead body in a trash barrel in Chelsea this morning and await an autopsy to determine whether foul play was involved in the death. [ Herald ] — Elsewhere in Chelsea, a District Court clerk pleaded guilty to charges that he used his position to extort sex from hapless women. [ Herald ] — Three former T workers pleaded guilty to larceny charges

that stemmed from their no show jobs. One was sentenced to two years with one to serve and the other two came away with suspended sentences. [ Herald ] — Boston cops have identified the first homicide victim of the year as John Cardoso, 25, of Dorchester. Cardoso was shot to death early New Year’s Day in front of 315 Geneva Avenue. [ BPDNews ] — Boston cops have some pretty good surveillance photos of three men who allegedly robbed a Hyde Park clothing store at gunpoint. [ BPDNews ]
