Did You Think Sharon, Mass. Was Boring? Think Again, Steampunk Style

Did You Think Sharon, Mass. Was Boring? Think Again, Steampunk Style

Image by Kyle Cassidy from Wikimedia commons Ah, Sharon, Mass. Birthplace of Nick Zinner. A place where Bernstein summered. Home of Lake Massapoag. And… uh… some other stuff. (Not model babies , certainly.) But, thanks to the internet, we now see that Sharon brings the steampunk, in the form of an amazing Steampunk Home . This 1901 Victorian Craftsman features a water heater reconfigured to serve as a doggie water dish, an antique (but working) thermostat, a fireplace insert reconfigured to hold a radio, a steam-powered puffin, a ship’s

binnacle, and other remarkably retro-yet-functional features. Appropriately enough, the house is home to Bruce and Melanie Rosenbaum, who own a Modern Victorian home restoration service that retrofits the old and retrofies the new. So, if you’d like your home to have a little more (steampunk or Victorian) style, you now know where to turn. Just make sure you wear a vest and a top hat when you do it.
