Senate Candidates Debate: Make Your Primary Decision

Senate Candidates Debate: Make Your Primary Decision

Tomorrow, two debates will take place that might help you make a decision in the special election race to fill Ted Kennedy’s senate seat. First, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce sponsors a debate between the Republican candidates Scott Brown and Jack E. Robinson tomorrow at 8am. It’s too late to register (aka pay through the nose) to attend, sadly, but we’ll try to round up some reactions for you. The Democratic candidates ( Martha Coakley , Alan Khazei , Michael Capuano , Stephen Pagliuca ) will square off tomorrow evening at 7pm on WGBH (channel 2, as well as WGBH 89.7 and WCAI). We’ll be attending the WGBH debate and

may even liveblog if the situation allows. According to the latest poll , Coakley’s kicking butt: 43 percent would vote for her, 22% for Capuano, 15% for Pagliuca, and just 6% for Khazei. The last debate is scheduled for December 2 at 8pm on NECN. The primary election to select candidates for the special election will take place Tuesday, December 8, while the special election itself happens January 19, 2010. It’s too late to register for the primary if you haven’t already, but you have until December 30 to register for the special election.
