Eleven games, and for better and worse, the Bruins still haven’t been able to put together a two-game streak of any kind. They had a chance last night, and played pretty well, but came away short with a 2-1 loss to the Devils. That tied the game,

but Dainius Zubrus took advantage of a flurry of action right in front of Tim Thomas to send in the gamewinner with 2 1/2 minutes to play. End of story. Edmonton is next, and statistic show the B’s are due for a win. The Yankees beat Pedro and Phillies to tie the World Series at one apiece. So good for them. The bad news for baseball is that there were a couple more blown calls, so get ready for 43 instant-replay breaks a game next season; the good news for baseball is that Alex Rodriguez is 0-for-8 in the Series. It picks up again in Philadelphia sometime after Thanksgiving.
