State Senator Anthony Galluccio Resigns

After the Sensodyne defense didn’t work and he was sentenced to jail , State Senator Anthony Galluccio has resigned . “My decision today is not out of hopelessness but rather one of hope and opportunity,” Galluccio said in his resignation letter. In response to the resignation, Senate President Therese Murray declared, “Senator Galluccio has made the right decision today for himself, his family, the Senate

and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.” The resignation pre-empted a possible censure or expulsion by the Senate. If you’re inclined to support the man for some reason, here’s a list of what you can’t send to jail. Care packages with toiletries are not allowed, so we guess Sensodyne is out of the question.
